06/15/08– Do you book regular studio time to record your music, or is your studio another room in your house?
I opened “the gray studio” a couple years ago. I have recorded a few other bands there in the past but right now I am working mainly on my own stuff. I is part of my house as well, making everything a lot more convenient.
01/23/08– Hello I was wondering if you could explain the song “We’re All Standing” that you wrote for Heath Ledger and his passing. The song is beautiful but what does it mean to you and your idea of him and who he was and what he was like? Sorry if that does not make any sense. Basically can you explain the song?
Thanks for the question. I can’t exactly explain how it all came together but it did, and I feel it went very smooth. I heard the news about Heath at a very odd time. I was just sitting thinking, not really doing too much. I wasn’t watching television, but I could hear the voice explaining the setting. The voice was saying how it was a very sad setting outside his apartment, people were just lining up. The voice said how all of the surrounding houses were not lit up, it was as if more than a life left. I just felt overwhelmed. I continued to think about the whole picture and how this happens, we often take things for granted and only become aware when it is too late.. I started talking about something random and was sitting behind my piano when I interrupted myself with this song. I just started to play it. It just came to me like I have had it in my head forever or something.. I stopped all I was doing, and wanted to focus on this song. Then the image of a dark street with people lining up standing outside the brick building continued to pop up in my head. It was such a powerful image of the support, even if it came too late.. My songs tend to jump around a little too.. The other part was I heard he really took his roles to the next level and the pain of knowing that this happened just to “act” for everyone else was leaving me without words.. It was just something I came up with, wanting to share the fact that we overlook people. Hope that helps explain my song, some things aren’t easy to explain..

That’s a hard question. There are so many great places all over the world I have never been to. I have always wanted to go to Australia, it just looks like a very nice place.. I am not really sure of the city, but I would like to be around mountains and by the coast at the same time. New South Wales would probably be the best fit for that.
12/05/07– If you could play with anybody alive or dead who would that be? and why?
Great question.. I would like to give a few different answers, but I will give one that came right to me. I would like to jam with Thom Yorke, there is a lot I really like about his creativity. There is a lot of depth I find in his stuff — not only Radiohead material, but his solo work as well.. I always get so lost in his lyrics, sometimes it’s the really simple things we take for granted and tend to overlook.. I really like this question and could give a long list of others I would love to jam with..
06/22/07– Are you too busy to tour?
No, I was and have been busy trying to get my material recorded. But right now, touring is what I want to do. Hopefully you will be seeing some tour dates listed here soon.
